Overview:
It is always exciting to see top sides play each other, but when the former World Champions take on the defending World Champions the level of the game is always above than the rest of the games.
Spain took on Germany at the Celta Vigo home stadium Estadio de Balaidos Vigo. Spain were missing a lot of important players, with Andres Iniesta, Cesc Fabregas and David Silva all missing.
Even the Germans missed a few, with Chelsea's Andre Schurrle out due to a flu, Marco Reus and Jerome Boateng, while Thomas Muller went off with an injury in the first half.
There where a few débutantes as well, as the injuries allowed managers introduce the new players on the international stage as Kiko Casillas and Nolita made their débuts. Real Madrid man Sami Khedira took the captaincy in the absence of Lahm and Bastin.
The first attempt of the game went to the new player Nolita who was playing in front of the home club crowd, as he bet his defender and hit a right legged shot at the goal which was palmed away by Zieler.
Germany responded through Mario Gotze as he attempted a shot on the Spanish goal which was saved by Iker Casillas. Muller was taken off at 22nd min after a challenge by Ramos caused him trouble.
Another German youngster Rudy who was playing only for the second time for his country side, let fly one but Bernat almost putting into his own net.
There were changes as the game was friendly and managers made changes. But Nolita was enjoying himself forced another save from the Gerrman keeper this time through a free kick.
But it was Germany who ultimately triumphed through and effort from Toni Kroos unfortunate for debutante keeper Kiko who replaced Iker just a few minutes ago.
