The Rise Of Pune Fc

Capitalizing on the recent popularity of football in India, the country's premier football competition I league has a new team which have done will in all sectors.

The second biggest city in the state of Maharashtra - Pune, a hub for youngsters and the day to day working executives has bloomed its way to the top of the table.

Not jumping our guns, the team who call Shree Shivchhatrapati Sports Complex at Balewadi their home ground, have come a long way since its days as a dead city. The club has worked well on the shores, including a world class dressing room and a pitch which is impeccable.

Top of the table with 11 points in 6 games, the Lizards have made them known. A grass root development program to be envy off, and a women's team who have done wonders the club have established themselves.

Where as the first team, who were part of the Bhutan's Kings cup and performed well and proved why they've come a long way. Again proving the same, they lead the I league. Though it might be early days, but we do have our early money on the team from the Deccan!
