Fernando Torres who is on a two year loan from Chelsea, scored on his full Seria A debut for AC Milan. Fernando's goal gave Milan the motivation to fight back as the Milanese club trailed Empoli.
Torres' goal came on in the 43th minute, after a sluggish start from the away side. Right back Ignazio Abate sent a cross inside the box, as Torres was waiting for the ball. The striker met his head with the ball, as the ball went looping in the net. It was redemption time for Milan.
The Spanish striker was quoted saying:
“I'm happy to have scored but we didn't get the win,”
“When you're up against a team that plays its heart out then it becomes a lot more complicated.
“It was hard, but I'm satisfied. Italian defences are hard to play against, but I knew that already.”
All in all, Torres looked happy to score his first of hopefully many as he tries to put his Chelsea misery behind him.
