Tottenham Hotspurs vs Manchester United – Preview

The festive season is here and the games are flowing thick and fast. Spurs welcome highflying Manchester United today at White Hart Lane.

Overview

A direct six pointer for the race of the top four and both sides will be eager to get an upperhand at this point of the season. Both the teams have made heavy investments over the course of summer and will be itching to see their returns bear fruits.

Team News

Spurs have a full squad to choose from as Ryan Mason returned from the injury and played 45 minutes against the Foxes. Youngster Harry Kane will be in the reckoning for a starting place after having scored three goals in last four games.

Manchester United’s injury worries are seeming to stretch on for eternity. Angel Di Maria became the latest victim after returning from a groin injury, after he suffered a pelvic injury.

Luke Shaw, Ander Herrera, Daley Blind, Marcos Rojo and Adnan Januzaj are among those who remain sidelined, but Chris Smalling may be fit enough to replace youngster Paddy Mcnair in the visiting back three.

Probable Lineups

Spurs - Lloris; Walker, Fazio, Vertonghen, Davies; Mason, Bentaleb; Chadli, Eriksen, Lamela; Kane

United - De Gea; Jones, Smalling, Evans; Valencia, Carrick, Rooney, Young; Mata; Van Persie, Wilson

TFM says a 2-1 win for United.
