UEFA draws are out: Madrid derby rules the roost

UEFA Champions League’s draws for the quarter finals are out and there is a jaw dropping list of fixtures. With erstwhile giants Monaco and Juventus returning the fold of knockout stages the usual suspects like Real Madrid, Barca and Bayern too are there to complete the lineup. No English clubs have made it to quarters for the second time in last three years.

Paris Saint-Germain face Barcelona for the umpteenth time in the knockout stages as they will host them in Paris on April 15th, meanwhile Porto will host favourites Bayern Munich.

Madrid clubs lock horns once again in the Champions League after playing last season’s finals. Atleti have some advantage over the defending champions and their neighbours in Real. They decimated Ancelotti’s men in Copa Del Rey as well.

Both teams will be like a team on mission for various reasons and it seems Atleti have an upper hand in the recent ones where they have blown their illustrious neighbours. Finally, Monaco will host the Old Lady.

UEFA Champions League quarter-final draw:

Paris Saint-Germain v FC Barcelona – 15/21 April

Club Atlético de Madrid v Real Madrid CF – 14/22 April

FC Porto v FC Bayern München – 15/21 April

AS Monaco FC v Juventus – 14/22 April
