Vincent Kompany set for Manchester City return against Burnley

Manuel Pellegrini will be a happy man as his injury woes are coming to a bit of ease as the festive games are starting to pound on.

The Chilean confirmed that Kompany and Jovetic can play a part against Burnley today as both of them have been named in the provisional squad. Kompany was out due to a calf injury while Jovetic has returned to the first team fold.

Provisional Manchester City squad v Burnley: Hart, Caballero, Sagna, Zabaleta, Kompany, Demichelis, Mangala, Boyata, Clichy, Kolarov, Nasri, Silva, Navas, Milner, Toure, Fernando, Fernandinho, Lampard, Jovetic, Pozo.
