What the Form Guide Says

We are looking at the 8th week of the Premier League matches and by now the table seems to be settling into a pattern. Looking at the fixtures played till now and the upcoming weekend matches, let's look at what the form guide of the last 3 matches of all teams predicts for them this week.

D = Draw

W = Win

L = Loss

Manchester City (DWW) vs Tottenham (LDW)

The form guide would suggest that City are back on track after a not so great start and seem to be on for a win. Also considering the history of this fixture, few would predict otherwise.

Southampton (WWL) vs Sunderland (DDW)

Having made a strong start Southampton faltered by a single goal to Tottenham last match. Sunderland also seem to be getting back on track, but a narrow victory for the home team based on their form can be predicted although a draw is not off the cards.

Newcastle (DLD) vs Leicester (WLD)

Alan Pardew seems to be getting no love from his team this season and the poor form means a calculated loss for his team.

Burnley (DLD) vs West Ham (WLW)

West Ham seem to be stepping on the gas from the start and find themselves in the top 5 currently. The form clearly suggests a win for the away team.

Crystal Palace (WWL) vs Chelsea (DWW)

Home form for Palace has not been great but they seem to be getting along fine wothout Toni Pulis. However, with a fine form from day 1, and players like Costa, Hazard and Fabregas in good touch Chelsea are the favourites for a comfortable win here.

Arsenal (WDL) vs Hull City (DLW)

Arsenal form seems to be slipping and Hull City seem to be getting a grip of things. Recent form would suggest a tough battle and considering Arsenal's Home form it could very well end up in a draw.

Everton (LDL) vs Aston Villa (LLL)

Everton have found themselves near the bottom and are showing bad form, only a little better than Aston Villa. However, considering Everton's poor Home form and Villa's strong AWAY form, this match could end up in an Away win for Villa

QPR (DLL) vs Liverpool (LDW)

Harry Redknapp is in a similar situation to 2 seasons back and cannot seem to find the right team mentality to win. Liverpool on the other hand is moving up after a slumpy start. A win for Liverpool should be easy.

Stoke (DWL) vs Swansea (LDD)

If only form were to speak then Stoke seem to have the points on Swansea in spite of their last match being a loss.

WBA (WWL) vs Manchester United (LWW)

Considering the points gained in the last 3 matches, this fixture could very well end up in a 2-2 or 3-3 draw. With Di Maria in fine form, the Red Devils however, will be looking for a win to stay at pace with the leaders.
