1. He is the youngest player to debut in Categoria Primeira B (Second Divison) for Lanceros Boyaca aged 13 years and 199 days.

2. He holds the record for most goals(17) in a single club football European competition i.e UEFA Champions League as well as UEFA Europa League.

3. He is named after legendary Brazillian footballer Falcao.

4. He is nicknamed El Tigre which means Tiger in Spanish.

5. Falcao's father Radamel Garcia was also a professional footballer in Columbia in 1980's.

6. He is the first Columbian to win Portuguese Golden Ball during his time in Portugal for FC Porto.

7. He is joint all time top scorer for Colombia. He has scored 20 goals in 50 appearances for the national team.

8. Falcao is a firm believer in God and co-incidentally he met his wife Lorelei Taron in a church!

9. Falcao was about to sign for Porto's rivals Benfica but the deal fell through as the Lisbon club were not ready to pay extra €500,000 demanded by owners of the player.

10. There is a video game called Falcao vs Aliens where he has to avert an alien invasion by scoring goals!
