1. That Vyacheslav Sharpar is a name Lutsk fans remember
Now 28 years of age, the midfielder left Lutsk in the 2010 - 11 for Metalist Kharkiv, another Ukranian team for a deal worth 2 million Euros! The player had stints with the club after the transfer. After the transfer, he was immediately loaned back to Lutsk post which he returned to play at the Avanhard Stadium in 2015.
He was 22 years old when he left as one of the costliest for the club in recent times!
2. That their stadium is special
The Avanhard Stadium has been the home ground of Volyn Lutsk since 1960. The stadium that has the seating capacity of 12080 has been a home to Lutsk since its inception.
Very few clubs have stayed in one stadium throughout their life!
3. That Oleksandr Pyshchur is their recent top scorer
The Striker who played for Lutsk on 3 occasions has netted 37 goals during his entire time with the club. He was loaned out to two clubs during his last stint as age and injuries caught up with the striker. He managed to make a total of 76 appearances for the Ukranian side.
The forward has played for them first 2005-06, then between 2007-09 and finally between 2010-13 seasons!
4. That It is over 50 years old!
In the year 1960, The Club currenly known as Volyn Lutsk was formed asAvanhard, named after the Soviet Sports Society. However, the Club was renamed as Volyn before it entered competitions. The Club entered the third divisions of Soviet Professional competitions.

5. That The Club has been renamed 7 times in it’s history
The Lutsk based club has been renamed multiple times since its inception. The club was Originally called Avanhard then registered as Volyn in 1960. Between 1968 – 71 the club was called Torpedo post which between 1972 – 76 the club was called SC Lutsk. For 11 years since 1977 the club was called Torpedo again post which from 1989 - 2001 it was renamed as Volyn. For the 2001 - 02 season the club was called SC Volyn-1 post which it was again renamed as Volyn!
It has been referred to as Volyn and Torpedo multiple times!
6. That The Club won the Ukranian First League
They won the league in the 2001-02 edition post which they were promoted to the Ukranian Premier League. The 01-02 season was good for the side as they not only won with a margin of 11 points but also managed to maintain a goal difference of 32 goals in their favour.

7. That Serhiy Siminin is name to remember
The 28 year old Left Back played for Volyn Lutsk on 2 occasions. The Defender first played for the side in 2007 before joining the side for 6 season in 2009. He has managed to make 146 appearances for the Ukrainian side in the two stints he has had with the club.
8. That they have reached the Semi Finals of the Ukrainian Cup on 3 occasions
Volyn Lutsk has on three occasions. They lost the first of their Semi Finals to Dynamo Kyiv and were unlucky to lose out to Tavriya Simferopol in the second appearance. They lost their last final to Shaktar Donetsk when Douglas Costa scored a last minute match winner for the winners of that edition.
They have been unlucky but the side definitely has fighting spirit!
9. That they are Karpaty Lviv’s Rivals
Volyn Lutsk’s biggest rivals are Karpaty Lviv and the match between the two sides is referred to as the Halytsko-Volynske derby. The Stadiums are full when the two sides meet and this Derby is the main Derby in Western Ukraine.

10. That They were promoted 2 times in the last 16 years
The Ukrainian club was promoted in 2001-02 when they won the Ukrainian First League and they finished 2nd in the 2009-10 season. They missed out on the top spot by 2 points!
