South Asian Games winner and The Asian Women's Footballer of the Year winner Aditi Chauhan will be playing in the Maldives Cup 2016 Futsal Tournament which begins on the 23rd of March 2016. The Goalkeeper who was in search of regular football after returning to India earlier this year, was given the opportunity by AIFF.

The Indian International received a warm welcome upon reaching the island country. "I was on board as there was something to look forward to. It's important to keep competing and I hope I will get to that for the next one month" The Delhi Born Goalkeeper stated. The 23 year old represented West Ham Ladies FC till January however, she had to come back to India as her Student Visa Expired. The Goalkeeper who prefers 11 a side to 5 a side said that "I want to stay fit and there is nothing better than playing football. I know it's futsal but I don't have a choice," she said.

Indian National Women’s team Goalkeeper Aditi has been an inspiration to many just at the age of 23, she has not only played at the top most levels in India but has also represented England’s West Ham Ladies FC in the FA Women's Premier League Southern Division (3rd division in Women’s football pyramid). She has also captained the Indian National side and the Loughborough University graduate was the first recipient of The Asian Women's Footballer of the Year award.
The 5 a side tournament is scheduled to take place over a month’s time and the Indian National Women’s team Goalkeeper has been offered a contract to play for Club Immigration.
