Italy has won their match against England but lost against Costa Rica, a team that has now secured its spot in the next round. Their decision to retain Mario Balotelli as their main striker fared them well against England, but not so much with the Costa Ricans. Their upcoming match against Uruguay is a deal breaker for both the teams as it decides which team goes into the next round.
Balotelli is a strong player and seen to have a superb command over the front of the field. His passing and shooting skills are strong and he is an agile player as well. He has excellent ball control and is able to receive long passes, which also enabled him to shoot the first goal against England. Balotelli shows a lot of promise and if he is backed up by two wingers and a strong defence, he might just have a shot at accompanying his team to the next round.
The AC Milan player has previously scored 30 goals for the club alone and 13 goals for his country, including the one this World Cup.
