Pep Guardiola has announced that he is joining Manchester United. The Spaniard's arrival has been confirmed by United. Their current manager Louis van Gaal has endured a difficult season and has stated that he will be stepping down at the end of the Season. It was widely believed that when Pep arrives at Manchester City, the Mourinho - Pep rivalry will be renewed. The pair faced each other earlier as Real Madrid and Barcelona's respective coaches and the fans all across the world were waiting to see two greats of the game face each other once again. However, the Guardiola's U-Turn ended the possibility of Jose's return to a Premier League giant.

Jose Mourinho, who was almost certain to join Manchester United would be bitter about the news as the job has gone to his Rival. Both United and Guardiola are tight lipped about the contract details.
Just before the announcement on United's site, Sir Alex Ferguson jumped to LVG's defense asking the fans to lay off him and telling them that it is easy to be critical. Louis van Gaal who became a part of United in 2014 has thus far managed to win 50% of his games as United's Coach. United lost out on Champions League and performed inconsistently throughout the Premier League and a loss to Liverpool in Europa League was the final nail in LVG's coffin. It is believed that United have also made this decision as the Dutchman Failed to win Any SIlverware during his tenure.
