The legend tested positive of drugs in 1994 World Cup in USA from where he was immediately sent home.
3. Jaap Stam –
The Dutch defender failed his doping test in Roma as he tested positive for a banned substance Nandrolone.
4. Adrian Mutu –
The former Chelsea striker tested positive for cocaine abuse not once but twice in his career.
5. Edgar Davids –
The Barnet manager tested positive for a banned substance in 2001 during his Juventus days.
6. Fernando Couto -
The Portuguese international like Stam and Davids, tested positive for Nandrolone.
7. Garry O'Connor –
He was named in a Channel 4 show as a player suspected for drug use which was sensational news at its best.
8. Kolo Toure –
The Liverpool man accidentally popped drugs in his diet pills. Now that’s a great excuse.
9. Mohamed Kallon –
The Inter forward failed a drug test in 2003 and thus was banned by the WADA for almost 18 months.
10. Abel Xavier –
The Boro man failed the drug test in 2005 for using banned substance methandrostenolone. He was banned for 18 months but he saw his ban reduced to 12 months after an appeal.
