Throwback Thursday Theirry Henry

Thierry Henry is truly a legend of world football. He has won each and every accolade as a player. The Arsenal superstar has indeed been one of the best forwards of his generation and certainly the best Premier League has ever seen.

Henry began his career in France for Ligue 1 side AS Monaco, where he predominantly played as winger.

He then moved on to Juventus but was immediately sold to Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal in 1999 for an estimated fee of £11 million. And it has been no turning back since then for him.

At Arsenal, he was used in more of a central role and that’s where he flourished.

He scored 228 goals for the Gunners in 377 apps. He is also Arsenal’s all time leading goal scorer. In 2007, Henry moved to Barcelona and there too he had a trophy laden stay.

After tasting success in Europe,

The French striker moved to MLS as he signed for New York Red Bulls.

His stint in MLS wasn’t as successful compared to his Arsenal and Barca days, but they were also not a failure.

For France too he has won all the major trophies including a World Cup and a European Cup. World will miss a footballer like Thierry Henry!
