Manipur jumped into the lead very early on in the match with W. Ranjibala Devi scoring a goal in the 4th min of play. Bihar tried valiantly to control the Manipur offense briefly for a few minutes before Manipur went on a goal scoring rampage dashing all hopes of a possible Bihar comeback. Manipur although missing their star forward N. Ratanbala Devi for the 2nd match in a row did not deter one bit and H. Daya Devi filled in her shoes to perfection. The Manipur forwards Kashmina and H. Manipur played a team game with very unselfish play and the full team displayed good speed with the ball and deft passing skills. Premi Chiru and Hemolata Devi controlled the mid-field line and Anita Devi and Ranjibala Devi combined well on the right flank. Manipur held most of the ball possession throughout the game and displayed good on ball skills with short passing game. Most of the match was played in Bihar’s half with only Tara Khatoon working really hard to drive Bihar team forward. Manipur moved the ball around well, changed sides, with lots of touches to the ball and every player was fully involved in the game.
