Arsenal and their injury woes

Arsenal are most injury prone club in the premier league since 2002. The stats have revealed that Ozil's injury is the 890th different injury report coming from the Arsenal's medical camp. Arsenal who have been struggling to keep their players fit, have suffered almost 100 more injuries when compared to second placed Manchester United.

Is it just fate or is Arsenal's medical department at fault? Club coach Arsene Wenger has asked for a detailed report into the injuries and the working of medical department. Ozil who missed just 12 games in 3 years of Real Madrid career is set to miss 3 months with a knee injury.

Here's a stat comparing injuries to club players since 2002

Premier League injuries since 2002

Arsenal 891
Manchester United 794
Tottenham 788
Newcastle 777
Everton 666
Chelsea 622
Manchester City 596
Aston Villa 578
Liverpool 553

There's just no surprise in seeing arsenal leading the table over here. That's an average of 74 injuries per season, which a massive stuff when it comes to a trophy challenge. With 8 players currently unfit, and a few long term absentees, another title challenge is on the dwindles. Is it just fate? Or just bad luck when it comes to injuries and Arsenal. We believe its a mixture of both.
