There was a bad news for the travelling side, even before the gane had started as their hit man Jelavic who was supposed to lead the line went injured during the warm ups and was replaced by Columbian Able Hernandez. The last time these two side met was in the FA cup final where Hull side where played stringently but were out done by a trophy hungry Gunner side. But yesterday's game was no different as both sides where looking for three points after a long two week holiday due to the international break.
It was the home side who where quick of the blocks as they started of well with a quick few attacks at the Hulls end and build up the tempo for an exciting high scoring game. With Arsenal having a upper hand they almost scored inside five minutes only for the ball to fly away over the bar. But the game had its first goal in the 13th minute.
Alexis Sanchez who was impressive from the very first go, had the ball at his feet on the right, which he dribbled past the defenders and hit a low shot which found the net of the goal, a brilliant effort from the Chilean who has been settling well. With Welbeck Wilshire and Sanchez continuing to trouble the Hull's defence, it took just 4 mintues for Steve Burce's side to equalize as Diame who picked up the ball 35 yard from the goal, which saw him riding of challenges and chipping the Arsenal goal keeper for the equalizer.
The first ended with Arsenal seeing a lot of possession but no attacking impetus.
The second half started with a goal coming in minute of the kick off as Arsenal conceded through a headed goal from Abel Hernandez who was a last minute change before the start of the game. Abel Hernandez put ball in back of the net as he climbed above Mertasacker for the goal. There where a couple of substitutions in the half as the game saw introduction of Ramsey for Flamini and Joel Campbell for Wilshire. And Hull replaced Harper in the goal.
As Arsenal chased the game, they pressrd hard for a equaliser in the last ten minutes, as the goal finally came in the 90th minute through Danny Welbeck after great work from Alexis Sanchez.
Arsenal some how salvaged a point after a disappointing game.
