AC Milan hold highflying Roma in Stadio Olympico as Roma fail to capitalize their chances against an ever improving Milan side. The draw means Juve will head into holiday period as the league leaders.
The match was more or less a battle of tactical supremacy where both the sides were trying to outfox each other at each and every move. Milan started the game brightly as Keisuke Honda tested De Sanctis inside 80 seconds but then Milan slowly faded off as Roma tried to get their hold on the game.
Roma tried to play on counter in initial stages but they were ably held off by Milan. Francesco Totti came close to break the deadlock but was denied by Diego Lopez who punched the ball away from a trademark Totti freekick.
Milan was the better side for the majority of the game as they tested Roma keeper more often but the tide turned as soon as they were reduced to 10 men as Pablo Armero was shown red by the referee. Armero earned a second yellow for handling the ball which saw him leave the pitch with 70 minutes on the clock.
From here on, Roma started to stamp themselves on Milan but the Rossoneri held their own and dug in to get a point from Rome.
