Athletico Madrid Confirm Filipe Luis Transfer to Chelsea

After parting ways with left back Ashley Cole, who has been a vital piece of the defence at Stamford Bridge, the Blues have been looking for a worthy and long term replacement. Athletico Madrid's Filipe Luis, with 449 tackles in La Liga last season (only 2 players managed more than 400 tackles), seemed the perfect replacement.

Reportedly and agreement has been reached for his transfer to Chelsea from La Liga champions.Only personal terms need to be agreed now to complete the deal.

He will definitely be an asset to the Blues in the bid for a title next season:
