Diego Costa scoops Barclay's player of the month for August.

The results for the August player of the month were announced, and it was none other than Chelsea's in form striker, Diego Costa. The £32m man, scored 4 goals from three possible games in the month of august, which included a brace against Everton after a terrific game at the Goodison where a total of 9 goals were scored in total.

Diego Costa has been incredible since his very first day in the Premier league. The striker has settled in well and Chelsea are reaping the rewards of an inform striker.

The striker defeated club mate Cesc Fabregas and opponents Nathan Dyer and Glyfi Siggurdson for the award.

Diego was quoted saying:

"I’m very happy to win this award. It is important to begin well at a
new club and I’m pleased with both my start to the season and also
the team’s, which is the most important thing,” Costa said.

“I hope to continue scoring goals to help out the team and keep
making our fantastic supporters happy. I thank my team-mates as
they have helped me win this award.”

Costa looks like he just can stop scoring and with club and national team teammate Fabregas providing with the creative spark, Chelsea look like a team to be afraid off.
