Liverpool’s on loan striker at Divock Origi may prepone his Anfield return if the discussions between Liverpool and Lille hit the right notes.

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has admitted that he looking to bolster his attack this window despite signing two strikers in summer.

"There has been some discussion but there is nothing to report," Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers said. "The agreement was for him to stay there so we will see how that works.

"If not we have the players here and we will go with what we have got."

Rodgers is forced to look for reinforcements as none of his strikers are in form with Daniel Sturridge sidelined with injury along with Balotelli and Lambert misfiring as both of them have a combined tally of four goals between them.
