Manchester City start their Champions league adventure at the home of the German Champions. City managed to salvaging a point against Arsenal last weekend. The Citizens haven't started their season in a impressive fashion, a shocking home defeat to Stoke City and a draw at Arsenal leaves them 5 behind current league leaders Chelsea.



On the other hand, Manchester City opponents and 2013 Champions and their players are still struggling to find their feet after a world cup winning campaign. Bayern have won two of their opening three fixtures, drawing the other fixture, against Schalke. With Bayern's latest victory coming against VfB Stuttgart.

Pep Guardiola's Bayern are struggling with fitness and injury problems ahead of their opener against Manchester City. Arjen Robben missed the Sundays training with a injury, announcing him as a doubtful for the game against City. Guardiola has an added headache this week with Holger Badstuber tearing a thigh muscle tendon during the Stuttgart game and is set to undergo a surgery. With Ribery just back, playing his first game in a lot of time and with likes of Thiago Alcantara, Bastian Schweinsteiger and Rafinha out injured, it needs to be seen what line up Pep plays against City.


Manchester City - 




City have injury and suspension problems of their own. Manuel Pellegrini will not be on the bench as the Chilean serves out a touchline ban, which was dished out by the disciplinary committee on him following an outburst at the referee in last season's defeat by Barcelona.
Pablo Zabaleta will be accompanying his manager in the President box of Azillianz Arena as the Argentinian is suspended too.
