Dani Alves - "I’m moving to England next year"

There is quite a buzz in English media since Dani Alves has publicly acknowledged that he will move to England next summer, when his contract at Barcelona expires.

Brazilian newspaper O Globo quoted Alves as saying:

"I am moving to England next year.

"I am going to play in the cradle of football. This will be my last year at Barcelona."

This has alerted a host of Premier League clubs as the Brazilian fullback still has a few years left to play in the top flight. Dani Alves was bought for a record fee in 2008 from Sevilla by Barcelona and since then has been part of the most successful Barcelona side ever.

He was a key member of Pep Guardiola’s all conquering side from 2008-2012. The Premier League and her fans await a gem of a defender to grace her with all the eagerness.
