Game report:
A blockbuster on the second day of the new champions league season saw Manchester City travel to Germany to take on the 2013 winners. Though the outcome wasn't as expected but the English champions did well to defend their goal until a 90th minute Boateng goal.
With both the teams defending and not giving space to each other, the game opened up the half went on. With a injury stricken City side, struggling to take control of the midfield; Yaya, taking the attacking onus to himself, Fernandinho was left alone for Muller and Gotze to run the channels. Xabi Alonso was partnered by two orthodox midfielders in Alaba and Lahm.
