German champions Bayern Munich have signed a high profile player into their team as Borussia Dortmund striker Robert Lewandowski completed the move that was in plans for the whole season last year.
The Polish footballer signed a 5-year deal with the Munich outfit for a fee of £31.5m and is the second signing for them from Dortmund in as many years, the first one being Mario Goetze.
Lewandowski had scored 74 goals and assisted in 31 in 131 matches for the 2013-14 runners-up over a period of 4 year. A highlight of his time at Dortmund was when he scored all the four goals against Real Madrid in the Semi-Finals of Champions League in the 2012-13 season.
The player shared his thoughts after his unveiling and said: “I was four years at Borussia. I knew it was time to make the next step.
“I know that every new player needs time but I hope the transition won't take long for me and that I'll be able to give my best from the first game.
“I feel very well. I had a lovely holiday and my batteries are full again,” he said.
The 25-year-old also said that he wishes to win more and more trophies with his latest club.
