Amid the suggestions that they could face a transfer ban from Fifa, Chelsea has clearly denied breaking of any rules in the signing of Bertrand Traore. The 20-year-old kick started his career at French club Auxerre, and officially joined Chelsea at the age of 18 in January 2014. Fifa does not allow the international transfer of a minor (an under-18), a rule that handed a transfer suspension to Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid and Chelsea lasting 2 windows. Yet Chelsea stands firm to signing the midfielder fair and square. Bertrand Traore was registered by Chelsea FC in January 2014 in compliance with FA and Premier League Rules,” a Chelsea spokesperson told Press Association Sport.
