Demba Ba to Shanghai Shenhua
Demba ba has reportedly completed a move to Shanghai Shenhua for what is expected to be a record transfer fee of around £11m. Shanghai Shenhua’s site confirmed the transfer but did not mention anything about the fee.
The Senegal striker, who left Chelsea to join Besiktas last July was pictured being mobbed by supporters at the airport. It is believed that 30-year-old Ba, turned down an approach from West Bromwich in order to join the Chinese club.
Ba had scored 18 goals in 29 league appearances for Besiktas. The striker was in China on Saturday to do his medical before officialising his transfer. Ba had a contract with the Turkish side till 2018 but an agreement between Besiktas and the Chinese side saw the transfer go through.
Demba Ba is a player who likes to play long balls as well as take long shots. He is a strong player, an attribute that helps him plenty of Aerial duels. Demba ba is also known to not dive into tackles and his major contribution on the pitch is purely towards the attack.
Shanghai Shenhua have also signed Mohamed Sissoko, on a free transfer from Levante. The Mail international plays as a Defensive Midfielder. Australian Midfielder Tim Cahill is also playing for them and has scored 3 goals in 15 appearances for them.
