Match report - Chelsea and Swansea paid their respects to Chelsea's now late President, Lord Attenborough by a minute of applause creating an aura of emotions in and around the stadium before the kick off.
Chelsea kick started the game, with Diego Costa leading the line and an attacking trio of Hazard, Oscar and Schurrle just tucking behind the front man. Swansea started as the better side, keeping the ball and playing it around Chelsea players and creating a couple of opportunities for themselves in the first ten minutes of the game.
The Welsh side took the lead from a John Terry own goal, after fine pass from Ki to left back Taylor who crossed it into the box with Chelsea defenders unable to clear it. Swansea maintained the intensity and possession well into the first half. A furious looking Mourinho kept on barking instructions to his team from the sidelines, soon after which Chelsea started making openings of their own, a goal coming from Diego Costa just a minute before half time, taking a little pressure off the Chelsea players.
Jose made a crucial change at halftime, bringing Ramires in for Andre Schurrle. Tactically changing the formation to a more sturdier 4-5-1 and which helped Chelsea see more of the ball in second half. Swansea were unchanged as they kicked off the second half. With Chelsea getting a grip over the game, the decisive goal again came through Diego Costa and as always, the assist coming from his fellow Spaniard Fabregas. A game changing moment, for Chelsea was marked by an introduction of Montero on the 66th minute who replaced Wayne Routledge. But he couldn't help his team much as he saw Costa completing his hat trick for Chelsea and sealing a win for the Blues. That hat trick takes Costa's tally to 7 goals in 4 games.
With the game sealed, it was time for a debut with Loic Remy replacing the hat trick scorer Diego Costa for the last twelve minutes or so of the game. Remy made and instant impact linking up well with Hazard and Oscar to score his first goal on his debut game for Chelsea making the scoreline 4-1. But Swansea weren't done yet, as the scored in the last minutes of the game through Shelvey.
At full time the scoreboard read; Chelsea 4-2 Swansea. With the blues handing Gary Monk's side their first loss of the season and with Chelsea still leading the charts, taking all possible points from their four games, happy times at the Bridge.
