Cristiano Ronaldo becomes the third highest goal scorer in the history of Real Madrid

Cristiano Ronaldo scored his 290th goal for Real Madrid with his goal putting the game to bed against Elche. The striker cum winger who scored at the 69th minute was his 38th of the season.

The three time Ballon d'Or winner is in peak of his performance as he guided his team to a clear 4 point lead over close rivals Barcelona who lost to Malaga the other day.

? Real Madrid's Top Scorers

Raul: 323 goals in 741 appearances

Alfredo Di Stefano: 307 goals in 392 appearances

Cristiano Ronaldo: 290 goals in 281 appearances

Carlos Santillana: 290 goals in 645 appearances

Ferenc Puskas: 242 goals in 262 appearances

Ronaldo is tied third with legend Carlos Santillana who scored 290 goals in 645 games where as Cristiano managed the same numbers in 281 games. A world record transfer then, he has been unstoppable since the date he joined Madrid.

With the record of Raul in sight, Ronaldo is 33 away from the club legend and leading scorer. 33 is a number which is well with the reach of the man, who has been brilliant all his career. We at TFM wish him well and hope he breaks the record.
