There have been quite strong murmurs in England and Spain regarding the future of Real Madrid hitman Cristiano Ronaldo. As reported by The Football Mind earlier, Ronaldo still has a soft spot for Manchester in his heart. Thus, he is planning a move back to Old Trafford after he is done with Real Madrid. But recent speculation hints at a Chelsea move following Mourinho's chats with the winger.
This story has taken a new twist after Ramon Calderon, who is a former Real Madrid President, revealed that the Portuguese winger is “fed up" at Real under Perez. And in turn is looking to leave Spain and return back to England.
“My impression is that he is fed up with the policy of the current president,” Calderon told Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast on TalkSPORT.
He further elaborated that the erratic transfer policy of current Real Madrid regime has ruffled him. Especially the ones of Xabi Alonso and Angel Di Maria this summer.
"Robben he thought he would be a
good colleague for him in the team [but
then he was sold].
“Two years ago it was [Gonzalo] Higuain
sold and he didn’t like that. Last year he
thought it was a mistake to let [Mesut]
Ozil leave and the last straw was selling
Xabi Alonso and Angel di Maria this
summer.”
Calderon hinted that he will move back to Red Devils as he isn't enjoying being a Galectico anymore.
“When I signed him in 2008, I remember
he said he was grateful to Manchester
United. He had a marvellous time there,
he likes everything. It is a really great
club."
If these quotes are anything to go by Ronaldo, Manchester United and Real Madrid are going to be part of a long lasting saga once again a la 2008.
