Born in Trichy and played all over India, D Ravanan is a left fullback now signed to play with ISL's Pune City FC. The man currently plays for the I-League team Churchill Brothers but began his youth career at the age of 19 with Indian Bank and has had exposure with teams like Dempo, Mohun Bagan and Mahindra United.

The 27-year old has been a part of the winning team in the 2012-13 season of the I-League as well as the Indian Federation Cup in 2014.

He is known to play a little rough and has picked up 3 yellow cards out of the 11 AFC Cup matches that he has played during his career. He seems to display considerable strength and could be a strong reinforcement for Pune's ranks.
