David Moyes Pays His Tribute

Real Sociedad manager David Moyes paid tribute to a fan who died on his way to last weekend's La Liga match against Real Madrid at the Bernabeu.

David Moyes attended the 23 year fans funeral, as the team and the manager all paid their tributes before the game.

The accident is said to have happened before 8am on Saturday morning in the town of Miranda de Ebro on the N-1, where he was a passenger in one of the two vehicles involved in the incident that left five more injured.

Despite the accident taking place just 300 metres from the hospital, emergency personnel were unable to save the young man and he was pronounced dead on the scene, just hours before the match.

David Moyes represented the club as he paid his condolences to the boys parents and family members.
