Chelsea striker Diego Costa suffered a minor muscular injury during team training.

Costa sustained a minor muscular injury while training with the team yesterday and is being monitored by the Chelsea medical team, media as sources revealed the injury isn’t as serious as it was being reported. With the initial reports from the English news outlets suggesting, the Spaniard could be out for anything between 6 weeks to 3 months.

With two goals in two games, the 32M summer signing has been an important part in Jose Mourinhos’ rebuilding. Any injury to Costa could mean the same difficulty for Chelsea, circa like last year. With Fernando Torres expected to leave, Roma’s Mattia Destro looks likely to join the Blues. When Mourinho was the coach of Inter Milan, Destro played for Inter’s under 21 side.

With the deadline day fast approaching, Chelsea will want to wrap up the business before the 12’0 clock bell rings.
