The Argentinian legend is in trouble again and this time he has been accused of hitting his former girlfriend for using her smart phone after a video was released which shows Maradona lashing out.
The all time football legend, is never far away from trouble. Maradona has been involved in many scandals, knowingly or unknowingly. But this time there is a video evidence of him hitting his ex-girlfriend. The video shows Maradona sitting on a couch, with his ex-girlfriend recording his actions. Aggravated with the recording, a drunk Diego Maradona gets up and starts yelling and hits out.
But in a recent conversation with a TV channel, Diego tried to defend himself, saying:
"Yes, I hit her phone, but that was about it. I promise you that the issue started and ended right there. I know I did something wrong when I hit her phone, but I swear to you on my kids' life that I have never raised my hand against a woman before. It did not go any further, and that's it,"
Maradona who has been accused of various issues, was famous caught using drugs in open. Maradona is also accused of having a fight with his former son in law - Sergio Kun Aguero. Diego has also always led a troubled life off the field. Having been accused of tax evasion in Italy during his time at Napoli.
