Eidur Gudjohnsen very close to a return in English football

Former Icelandic international Eidur Gudjohnsen is very close to making a return English football with his former club Bolton Wandrers.

Gudjohnsen left Bolton for Chelsea 14 years ago and is planning to complete a full circle by resigning for them.

He left England in 2006 when he signed for Barcelona from Chelsea after almost eight years in England.

Wanderers boss Neil Lennon confirms:”The signs are very positive. I’m not saying it’s a done deal. A lot will be down to finances as well, but I think we’re close.”

This adds fuel to the fire as Lennon plans to toy with fans and media alike by playing a guessing game.
