UEFA semi finals draws – Real Madrid vs Juventus and Bayern Munich vs Barcelona
Yesterday’s semi final draws for UEFA Champions League was the best possible draw for every football fan. Real Madrid, the defending champions will face the dark horses of this tournament in Juventus who have fought their way up till here while Barca will face German giants Bayern Munich.
The most awaited fixture of this draw has to be Bayern’s clash with Barcelona which will see Pep Guardiola return to Camp Nou for the first time since leaving Barca. Both teams are tipped to be bookies’ favourite for the title and it will be an interesting tie over the two legs.
The Catalan manager said: "Everyone understands how special this game is for me, for [midfielder] Thiago and my staff.
"Barcelona was our life. Barcelona is my home.
"Barcelona are the best team at the moment. I am not surprised. He (Luis Enrique) has a lot of quality. He is a great guy and I am happy I will be facing him."
Even Real Madrid manager will visit Turin after a long time as Real have been drawn with Italian champions. Both Real and Juve had a difficult quarterfinal fixture where both of them advanced with an aggregate scoreline of 1-0 over the two legs.
The first legs of the semi-finals will be played on Thursday, 7th May with the return matches a week later.
The final is in Warsaw's National Stadium on Wednesday, 27th May.
