Sunderland has secured Fabio Borini permanently after their bid for the 23-year-old was accepted by the Merseyside club.
The Black Cats bid £10 million of the youngster which the Reds declined. So they went one up and increased the bid with £14 million which was agreed by Rodger’s administration.
Borini had spent the previous season on loan with Sunderland and was crucial in keeping the club afloat in the top flight with some match-winning performances.
He has scored 7 goals in 31 appearances for his current club and will be important in front of the goal this time around too.
