Feyenoord confirms Vermeer deal

Ajax shot-stopper Kenneth Vermeer has left Amsterdam Arena to join arch rivals Feyenoord. The 28 year old was bought by Dutch giants for around €750,000 after agreeing a four year deal. The Dutch international amidst widespread interest from quite a few suitors chose a move to Rotterdam club in order to revive his faltering career after being replaced by Jasper Cillesen last term.
"A number of clubs showed an interest in signing me, but Feyenoord were the most interesting
option for me," the goalkeeper commented on his switch.
