Goa Franchise gets Debabrata Roy

Debabrata Roy is a defender from Kolkata who plays as a right full-back. He played for Mahindra United since 2001 and joined Goa’s Dempo SC in 2010. His allegiance to Goa has been maintained as he has been selected to play for Goa FC of the Indian Super League.

The 27 year old has 5 caps so far with the 22 games he has played for Dempo in the I-League and 3 for Dempo in the Indian Federation Cup. His youth was spent training with the Tata Football Academy, where he played and trained between the years of 2002 and 2004.

He has even had the chance to play 15 matches representing India at the FIFA World Cup qualifiers, but has not scored any goals for the country.
