Former England striker who has been without a club since leaving Melbourne Jets, signed a short term deal with Lennon's side.
Heskey who has a ample lot of experience when it comes to football in England, could prove a crucial signing in Bolton's search of Premier league qualification.
Manager Neil Lennon who was a teammate of Heskey's in his playing days, was quoted saying:
"He will make us better, so for me it was a no-brainer,"
"He's got real qualities - his physical presence, his touch, his awareness is still of a very high caliber.
"These kind of players, they still have the quality. Their legs might go a little bit but he's still in very good condition for his age.
"It's a short-term deal so financially it won't hurt the club."
