Indian wonderkid joins Spain's Real Valladolid
16 year old Abneet Bharti joins Spanish second division side Real Valladolid from Singapore side Balestier
Khalsa FC. He was first Indian teenager to play for an international club when he moved to Singapore at the age of 13.
Abneet was born to parents of Indian origin in Kathmandu, Nepal. He also spent a part of his childhood in Italy and Nigeria. He is represented by Ravi Daswani, who is also Asian scout of Real Valladolid.
“Abneet will be Joining Real
Valladolid, He will be completing his
studies there as well. This is going to
be an opportunity to develop young
talents and train and compete with
the local Spanish players and other
talents from around the World,” said Ravi. Ravi Daswani was also the man behind Mehtab Hosain's Spanish saga.
Just like his agent 16 year old Abneet was equally ecstatic by this move.
“I am expecting this to be a great
learning experience for me to train
with the best coaches at great
atmosphere and hopefully I can
learn as much as I can to help me
become a professional footballer. I
obviously expect the players to be
very technically sound and a good
understanding between themselves,” said Abneet.
He is being signed as a part of Valladolid's international scouting project. Ravi Daswani enlightens us further on this, “Real Valladolid has an international youth project which consists of a large scouting network. The
objective of this project and scouting
network is to not only scout for
talent in Spain but also all over the
world from South America, Africa,
North America, Asia, etc. The club
has a wide scouting network with
scouts all over the world looking and
searching for players with potential
and these scouted players get
inducted to the youth setup of the
club for training and education.”
He thanked his agent and family for facilitating his move.
“I am thankful to the support of Ravi
and especially my family, as nothing
would have been possible without
them. My family is my backbone and
I am thankful to them for the
support, as I consider myself
extremely lucky to have such a
supportive family.”
