Is Diego Simeone the Chosen One for Manchester City?

It is not even Christmas yet and the English media is already abuzz with speculations of Diego Simeone to Manchester City with Manuel Pelligrini's time at the Etihad coming to an end.

According to the English paper DailyStar, the Manchester City board are looking at the possibility of hiring current Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone should they decide to part ways with Pellegrini. The Chilean who was formerly employed as the the Malaga manager has supervised the trophy winning camping at Manchester City.

But City owner Sheikh, who has the ambition to see his side win the Champions League, has run out of patience already as his side have again performed miserably in the group-stages and are on the verge of getting themselves knocked out again three years in the running.

On the other hand, Diego Simeone who managed to take his small group of players at Atletico who spent 1/10th of the City transfer fee last season has impressed the club hierarchy.

Simeone who has proved his worth as he won the Super cup twice, the Copa Del Rey once and the La Liga last season, would prove to be a great appointment and has the pedigree for what it takes to be a great manager.
