Manchester City midfielder Javi Garcia is stepping closer on a move to Russian club Zenit St. Petersburg as reports suggest that £12 million deal is agreed to by the concerned parties.

Citizens’ manager Manuel Pellegrini has signed Fernando Reges and Chelsea legend Frank Lampard for his club suggesting that the Spaniard’s position in the line-up is doubtful.

The cash rich City club will dispose off of the player before the end of the transfer window after having the Garcia involved in two successful seasons at Etihad.

He had joined City from Portuguese side Benfica in 2012 for a reported fee of £16 and is said to garner similar price on his sale.
