Kerala Blasters vs FC Goa Match Preview

Kerala Blasters after touring the entire nation are finally return to home soil and face starkingly similar FC Goa. Both Goa and Kerala have been highly inconsistent this season. Zico’s boys will look to build some kind of momentum this time around.

Key Battles

Cédric Hengbart vs Tolgay Özbey

Hengbart has been a mainstay for Blasters defense along with David James. He uses his physicality to hold off most of the forwards. And he will be up against Oezby who is known exactly for his physicality. It will be a fascinating battle which everyone will relish.

Iain Hume vs Youness Bengelloun

Hume is key to Kerala’s attacking prospects. The Englishman has always led the Blasters line along with misfiring Michael Chopra. Bengelloun has been Goa’s go to man whenever they are caught out in the defense. A battle to lookout for.

Key Man

Pedro Gusmão

The young Brazilian has been one of the bright spark for Zico’s underachieving side. The pacey forward can surely unlock this a little slow Kerala defense.
