Liverpool end Spurs run!

Overview:

Liverpool 3-2 Tottenham
Markovic. Kane
Gerrard. Dembele
Balotelli

Report:

Mario Balotelli helped Liverpool win all three points, as he scored a crucial goal in the 83rd minute to make it 3-2 for the home side.

Liverpool who started without star man, Sterling who had a injury which ruled him out for the fixture. But it was good news though, with Daniel Sturridge started the game for the first time since last August.

The game kicked off, with the roar of the kop. The home side looked sharp as they started the game on a level higher than the visiting Spurs team.

Liverpool led the game twice just to be pegged back by spurs before Balotelli putting the game to bed.

Lazar Markovic gave Liverpool an early lead but there was no stopping the man of the moment Harry Kane who swiftly equalised. But a penalty early in the second half saw Liverpool restore their lead.

But Tottenham midfielder Mousa Dembele had other ideas, as he made it two goals all. Mario Balotelli came on for Daniel Sturridge with the Italian still having to prove his worth.

The battle for Champions league places already looks tough, but it was Balotelli who finished off the game in favor of home side at the Anfield yesterday.
