According to reports, the Reds are ready to complete a £16 million deal for Alberto Moreno from last season’s UEFA Europa League winners Sevilla.

Moreno has been linked with a move to Anfield throughout the summer and Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers is hopeful to see the deal go through.

The Spanish club’s president Jose Castro has not divulged any information and has maintained that the 22-year-old will not leave the club. He said:

“There have been negotiations, eight or 10 days ago, but there has been no agreement and nor is there today. “If Liverpool's offer is suitable he will leave.
If not, he'll stay and nothing will happen, absolutely nothing. We'll be at ease.”
When asked if the youngster will play against Real Madrid in the UEFA Super Cup fixture, Castro said that he will be featuring in the match.
