Liverpool has lost a quality player in Luis Suarez after he left Anfield to join Barcelona for a record sum £75 million and there are now looking to sign Arsenal target Mario Balotelli to complement their striker Daniel Sturridge.

Arsenal were said to have been interested in signing the player but as recent reports go Liverpool are set to hijack the London club’s interest by readying a bid worth £14 million.

The 23-year-old’s club AC Milan is ready to let him go if better offers come their way with the Reds looking to seize him.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers spoke about Balotelli and his willingness to sign the player, he said: “Balotelli has all the qualities. He’s 6’3, he’s quick, his touch is terrific, he can score goals and he’s still so young.

“I saw that in this time at Inter as a young player and obviously going to Manchester City when we had a real close eye on him there.

“He’s a big talent. If his focus is right, his concentration is right and he leads the lifestyle of a top player then he can play for any team in the world”, the Irishman was caught saying.
