Liverpool vs Manchester United Match Preview

The big daddy game of the English football is just hours away as Liverpool host their eternal rivals Manchester United on Sunday. This is a game where form books are thrown out of the window. Passions run high and there is carnage everywhere.

This time there would be added extra spice involved in this fixture for two reasons. Firstly, Liverpool will be looking to avenge their pre-Christmas mauling at Old Trafford. And also for the battle for top four which has intensified more by each passing day.

Team News

There are no fresh injury concerns for either sides as both have the same squad to choose their XI from. Liverpool will most probably continue with their back three formation while United may stick to their back four.

While Mario Balotelli is expected to return to the first team after he has recovered from his illness.

The visitors have some doubts regarding the fitness of their defenders Marcos Rojo, Luke Shaw and forward James Wilson. Juan Mata is expected to start over Argentine Angel Di Maria, who is returning after serving his one match suspension.

Probable Libeups

Liverpool – Mignolet, Can, Skrtel, Sakho, Henderson, Allen, Lallana, Sterling, Coutinho, Moreno, Sturridge

Man Utd – De Gea, Valencia, Jones,Smalling, Blind, Carrick, Herrea, Fellaini, Young, Di Maria, Rooney

Predictions

Liverpool 1-1 Man Utd –

A tricky fixture which can sway in anyone’s favour. We are taking a safe route of a scored draw.
