Manchester City are closing in on securing French national Eliaquim Mangala from Portugese League club FC Porto for a supposed deal worth £32 million.
The League Champions Manchester City have been on a lengthy pursuit to attain the services of the 23-year-old centre-back.
The player reportedly went through a medical for the English club and is now given time to accept the offer till Sunday. If he does he would earn a package worth £113,000 per week.
He will be partnering Captain Vincent Kompany as the other centre-back Martin DeMichelis and Joleon Lescott having left the club to join West Bromwich.
But the signing would spell the end of a foreign player’s time in England as the club has exhausted their overseas players allowed as they have already breached the Financial Fair Play regulations.
This means either Alvaro Negredo or Javi Garcia are in the danger zone of being axed by Manuel Pellegrini.
