Karnatak SA blank Maharashtra cops 2-0
Mumbai, April 17: Strikers Arihi Uchenna and Arif Khan scored a goal each to guide Karnatak Sporting Association (KSA) to a comfortable 2-0 win against Maharashtra State Police in an Elite Division match of the MDFA (Mumbai District Football Association) League – 2014-15, played at the Cooperage ground, on Friday morning.
Later in the evening, seasoned striker Reuben D’Souza scored a brace as Western Railway cruised to a 4-2 win against a spirited Dena Bank. Clayton D’Souza and Anil Pawar got the other two goals for Western, while Hement Meher struck both the goals for Dena Bank.
Results – Elite Div: Western Railway 4 (Reuber D’Souza 2, Clayton D’Souza, Anil Pawar) beat Dena Bank 2 (Hemant Meher).
Karnatak Sporting Association 2 (Arhi Uchena, Arif Khan) beat Maharashtra State Police 0.
Young Das FA rout Classic FC 5-1
Mumbai, April 17: Young Das FA outplayed Classic FC 5-1 in a Second Division play-off match of the MDFA (Mumbai District Football Association) League – 2014-15, played at the St. Xavier’s ground, Parel, on Friday evening.
Strikers Moses Angre, Adnan Aligar, Erhad Fernandes, Aditrya Tambe and Nasir Khan, were all target for the Das FA youngsters while Arshad Ansari netted the lone goal for the losers.
In another match, Friends United overcame N.B. Challengers by a 2-1 margin . Tejas Poojari scored both the goals for the winning side, while Hari Swamy scored the lone goal for the losers.
Results – Div-II (play-off):Das FA 5 (Moses Angre, Adnan Aligar, Erhad Fernandes, Aditya Tambe, Nasir Khan) beat Classic FC 1 (Arshad Ansari).
Western Railway 4 (Reuben D’Souza 2, Clayton D’Souza, Anil Pawar) beat Dena Bank 2 (Hemant Meher 2).
